I'm just back from a short visit to the Thames area, visiting schools to promote my book, Gold Dreams.

This is Shortland Wharf, built in the gold rush era, now a peaceful setting for a cafe.

Next stop the town of Paeroa, where I found another cafe in a historic setting: The Refinery.

Gold Bullion was sent here from the nearby gold fields. Later it was used for glass making.

At the Ages of pages book fair

 

I attended the amazing Age of Pages book fair in Hamilton on May 2nd.
It was wonderful to see so many indie authors and meet so many book buyers.

The books in my New Zealand Pioneer Adventure Series (for readers in the 8-12 age group) are available until the end of May at the market price of $20 per book and $50 for the set of 3.
